Community Settings
I'm sure we've all seen and read by now, the new settings and flagging tools. You've probably even seen the little flag at the top of the screen when visiting someone's lj.

I won't go into the whole mish-mosh and repost the whole article, but I did want to bring up the flag options of adult settings. While this comm certaintly does have a basis in 'adult content' in the form of the works produced for the journals, the comm itself is not. It is purely a discussion community for the journal project. (We already know this of course, I'm just laying it out there to cover our collective selves).

In fact, the only restriction that was put in place (that the majority of the comm agreed to) was to restrict members less than 18 years of age from participating in the slash and het journals. But that still leaves them open to contribute to the gen journal. I also recall some discussions related to teen journals, but I have no idea if that portion of the project ever got off the ground.

So there you have it in a nutshell; our little comm does not contain adult oriented material, therefore its settings will not change. Which is impossible to do anyway since darklock would be the only one with that kind of control.
